Week 21-26 – Curiosities

I think i’ve finally perfected the pizza dough. We don’t do char. Toppings kinda of slid in the lower right.

Greetings from the Mesa

The weather has been near perfect lately and i’ve been enjoying sitting outside with coffee in the morning and heading to the studio. We’ve been dealing with some BS on the property so I have been in a bit of a creative hiatus. Summer projects have been planned – we are still awaiting more solid big project timelines. Tongy is doing better, but I’ve just learned his vet retired, and awaiting some new instructions to get him more stabilized on insulin. KP is planning to fill the greenhouse around the 1st of June with all the starts we have going under the grow-light indoors. I’m excited for my pepper plants, they are looking robust and ready to go. We’ve already been trimming the basil starts and using them in dishes (like the pizza above). Looking forward to warmer days and more outside time and ADVENTURES!

Curiosities

  1. Brad Neely on Embracing Errors When Making Art “I like art that preserves the rough edges of the person.”

  2. Are you yearning for the old web and more personal websites (the original “social media”)? – check out Neocities, a free website creator – no ads. Also Nekoweb.

  3. Unruly Play – A collection of 186 works of play in unlikely places. Games about unusual things. Unexpected encounters. Curated by Imagination of Things.

  4. I’ve cancelled Netflix, so we are looking for some free alternatives – Arte.tv – the European culture TV channel – looks promising with some quality content like this awesome animated film called Butterfly.

  5. The World Needs Your Passion Project. Procrastination. Perfectionism. Fear of rejection. There are many reasons why the work we care the most about never sees the light of day. But one of the biggest is the lack of a deadline. What if we gave our personal creative projects a collective deadline?
